The Debut Of Retail
Pete finally took his skill to the masses. Monday night was his first show. We had been waiting for this event since he purchased tables. I know he was excited and maybe a bit nervous. Heidi, Scott, Joanne, Aspasia, myself, and others went for support and of course the good music. The title of the party, "Siempre Industry night@Shorty's :: James Davies (uberclkgtr) vs Retail." It was held at Shorty's in Baltimore. What a perfect way to close out the long holiday weekend with just one more party!!!
I didn't arrive untill after 1030pm. The plan was for Pete and James to share the 9pm-2pm set. They averaged about 45 mintues to an hour a piece behind the decks. I really like some of Pete's choices as he kept a bunch on the house side. James seemed more progressive, but Pete and I were excited to hear him spin a house track or two.

During the music, some dancing took place. I didn't dance the entire night. The place didn't really have that feel. Scott and I played a game of pool. Well, we watched the other team play a game of pool. They schlacked us across the room. It was embarrassing. We stopped trying to play pool, and the night took a turn toward the goofy. Everyone started to pose crazy for the camera.

At this point, we lost all control. I mean, how are we allowed in public? Joanne and Heidi were dancing like crazy. Scott wanted to dance, but he could not dance in any traditional sense. He sat on top of a bar stool, and jumped/danced around while sitting on top of the stool. It was crazy.

The night was a complete success. Congrats to Pete. I loved his sets, and I am sure everyone else enjoyed the music. I really hope this becomes a regular occurrence. Maybe Pete can get a gig down in Annapolis or DC!!!
