New Possessions

Saturday was all about getting stuff. Doesn't everyone like to acquire new things? The girls set out awful early to Georgetown on a quest for Bridesmaid's Dresses. Jason and I held off a few hours for obvious reasons. We also had a favor to accomplish.

I was at my house for a few hours in the middle of the day. I took the opportunity to rip some CDs. Teresa was kind enough to lend me a part of her collection for iTunes. Yay for new music! I got some sweet mix cds, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Fiona Apple, Guns N Roses, Jimi Hendrix, and others. I returned the favor with a DMB show, a PMB show, a few mixes, Van Morrison, and Jem. Yes, I thank you for the new music. I have to also say thanks for the books. I think I'll be occupied for the 13 hour flight to South America in a few weeks. Awesome.

Later on, I followed Jason up to BWI. His father was arriving in town. We needed to give him back his car. Jason had been borrowing it for the week. Apparently, he doesn't know how to drive his own car. A quick ride and a few house tracks later, we found ourselves on M Street in the heart of Georgetown. After taking 6 years to park, we met the girls on the street. They had already indulged in dresses and other goodies. We decided to stop by a Tappas bar for some food. Gootz was planning to met a few friends. These kids ended up being cool, but I can't remember their names. We had a variety of Tappas like crab cigars and sausage. I drank a few Stellas. Man they're tasty.

The late afternoon snack waned, and I grew tired of it. Denby, Jason, Teresa, and I walked across the street to H&M. My part of the journey was to get short sleeve shirts from here. Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a selection. I grabbed a few orange decorated long sleeve shirts. One makes me look like Charlie Brown.

Back over at the Tappas bar, we decided to call it a day. No one wanted to stay in Georgetown. It is so far from Annapolis. We needed dinner and more drinks. Sadly enough, I successfully got lost on the way home. Silly DC, I hate the roads there. Everyone got ready rather quickly for a dress down evening. We made the decision to stop in The Boatyard Bar and Grill. This is another great watermans hangout in Eastport. Its a world renowned sailing bar. The food is fantastic. It was packed, but we enjoyed ourselves. Is it possible for us to laugh at each other more? I don't think so. The final destination was Griffins for a few drinks. The band was horrible, and our mood was pretty downtrodden. We packed it up and went home for the night. Teresa, Gootz, and I watched Mean Girls. Eh, its a teen movie. On Demand can be so horrible.

This Saturday was filled with new stuff for me! I really love new music. I don't know what I would do without music. New reading material is always a plus. I never have any idea what to pick up. I was disappointed with H&M, but what are you going to do? Throughout the day, the food was perfect. It was great to see the girls for the weekend. I hope they had as much fun as I.
