Megan's Graduation Celebration

Megan has successfully finished her undergraduate education at UMBC. Good Job! We are all so proud of you. We would not let an opportunity like this pass us by. No No No. This is the perfect time to party. Megan perfers warmer temperatures so, she held a tropical themed Graduation Party!

This particular party took place over in Millersville at Megan's Mother's house. Extended family and friends were in attendance. It was really great to see the Arids! I also said hello to Megan's parents. I have been lucky enough to meet all of them over the past two years. A lot of kids were in attendance including Shannon and Dereck. They had their baby daughter who is so beautiful. Jon and Susan were also at the party. It was great to see Jon! He has been elusive since marriage. The rest in attendance were comprised of Myself, Denby, Jason, Pete, Heidi, Matt, Kevin, Jen, Ritchie, and Jamie. Good to see everyone, and Pete - nice xB!

I mentioned tropical right? A cold large bowl of Margaritas was bottomless for most of the afternoon. Wine and beer was also available. For hor d'oeuvres, we had a few types of chili con ceso. Mrs. Arid's was the best. Soon there after, Megan laid out quesediallas, soft tacos, hard tacos, all the toppings, rice, and beans. I was the first to go at the food. Denby encouraged me!!! I'd have to say the quesediallas took the spotlight. Mexican food and a Saturday night - why not?

Everyone passed through the buffet style dinner without a compliant. The food was so good! By this time, the mood was very merry. Denby and I switched to wine and beer. Well, Matthew kept my can full. I tired to talk Ritchie into a cat, and Denby throughly embarrassed me. She was so giggly at this point. I kept on saying inappropriate things. Mrs. Arid asked if I had a girlfriend. It was time to exit the party.

I rode up I-97 with Jason and Denby. I was glad they gave me a ride. The favor continued as we traveled toward Griffins for the carry on. I got sidetracked by the phone, but was inside around 1030pm to see a debacle unfold. BWI was performing, and they sounded fantastic. Guitar, Trumpet, and Bass. They played Tom Petty, DMB, Jack Johnson, Snoop, and many others. Denby and I danced excessively. Throughout the night, a pair of girls hit on Jason. They wanted all of him. Megan was all smiles. Before I knew it, the front had turned into wastedland. Ritchie, Matt, and Denby couldn't stand. Jason was doing shots at the bar - by himself. I couldn't see. Denby took Jason and I out to the car. I think we accidentally left Kevin and Jen? Sorry. The night was completed by subs at Pantry One. Yay Meatball.

I am so happy for Megan. You made it. No more tests or homework!!! Wait, you are a teacher. Sorry. It will be great. The real world is not as horrible as it might seem. Good luck with your first year. I have heard it is trying, but I believe you have the character to make it! Either way, we all had a crazy time at your extended celebration. Weird things always happen when Margaritas are poured before 5pm.

Congratulations Megan, However, contrary to Simeon's statement, I am in fact more horrible than I seem...I would advise you to go back to school to pursue your Masters immediately...Even if it is in some useless dead-end field such as History or Human Resource Management
