Score One For The Little Guy
A historic advocacy ad was placed in yesterday's New York Times. The ad was for a free web browser. An organization named Mozilla developed the browser. The name of this browser? Firefox.
Since Mozilla is a non-profit organization, how did they pay for a two full page ad in the New York Times? Funny you should ask... Verison 1.0 of Firefox has been out since the beginning of Novemeber. A few grass roots organizations have been spreading the word about this quick, safe, and standards complient web browser. Specifically, SpreadFirefox.com. The goal set forth was 10,000,000 downloads between Novemeber 9 and December 9. They crushed the goal and are up to 11,000,000 plus downloads. The money for the ad was rasied in 10 days through donations administered by SpreadFirefox.com. Too quote their blog, "Thousands of us rallied together in 10 short days to pull off the largest open source fundraising campaign in history." On December 13, InternetNews.com reported a loss in Microsoft's share of the web browser audience too who? Firefox. So, do yourself a favor. Download Firefox. Browse the web with ease. Don't leave yourself subsceptible to attacks with the porous Internet Explorer. Enchance your web content with faster downloads and render times. Realize how easy multiple windows can be controlled with Tabbed Browsing. Look at the array of extensions available to customize Firefox to your liking. Welcome to a Better Internet Experience.

Simeon - Mozilla Firefox is the jammy jam!!! I love using the program and find it to be a ton easier to use than MS Internet Explorer, thanks for showing me the program. Like you, I am spreading the work about Firefox and refer everyone to use the browser. On top of that it has a cool logo.
