Happy Birthday Jason
Sunday, Jason turned the ripe old age of 26. What a foreign age, yet it isn't so far in the future. He had planned an extravagant night, but recanted to a simple evening at Riordan's. I know he was somewhat dissappointed, but people are strapped for cash with other birthdays and the holidays. No matter, we would have fun with each other anywhere. The celebration was planned for last Saturday.
I spent most of the day relaxing around the house. I caught a Bundesliga game. I updated my Countdown till Rio (now removed) with more pictures. I played the guitar. Wow, I haven't done that in months. I ran about six and half miles. Over in Eastport, a SUV pulled up next to me. I couldn't really see who was inside, but a girl yelled out, "You're a Hottie." For all I could tell they were in High School. It made my afternoon. HA.
I was really really getting hungry when Kevin and Jen stopped by the house around 730pm. We listened to some music before going to Riordan's. Matt, Megan, Denby, and Jason had already arrived and put in our group for a table. The wait was expect to be ten minutes. That was a lie. We were not seated until nearly 9pm. At this point, my stomach had started eating itself.
Matt and I ordered the exact same thing - Crab Bisque and Riordan's Dip. Matt didn't like the Bisque. He thought it was too heavy. I loved it. I must have eaten the entire bowl in 3 minutes. Needless to say, I had trouble finishing the beef sandwich. I felt bad for Jason because; no one was lively. Personally, I was tired. I guess the reason could have been I was awake at 9am. Silly orange room. Kevin and Jen decided to go home after dinner, and we continued to occupy our table.
I sat with Denby and Jason reminiscing about college experiences. I really don't remeber how this conversation started. Denby never likes to talk about college. We were only really talking about teachers. Ah, now that makes more sense. By this time, Ritchie had stopped by the bar. He was detained earlier due to his father's birthday celebration. The group started to liven up, and I was feeding Jason Bud Light drafts. This made me happy. I knew Jason was having a better time.
The night ended on a high note. Jake unexpedly showed up. Jason spent a good amount of time talking to him. At closing time, I took Ritchie and Jason over to Pantry 1 for some late night snacks. I only purchased some juice. We went back to my house. They played video games while I listened to music. It was a fun evening. I was happy things picked up for Jason. Everyone should have a great time on their birthday!

Thanks for the post Simeon! Hopefully everyone had a good time, yes it was low key but that's cool. The Bud Light was cold and I had good friends to spend some time with. Thanks to everyone who could join us.
